The occasion
PNE Flags created a major coordinated display for Preston North End’s FA Cup tie against Aston Villa in 2025.
The scale
The display linked three stands, combining a giant PNE card display with the wider flag collection to create one connected piece of supporter-made theatre.
What supporters did
Volunteers prepared and positioned the material before gates opened. Thousands of supporters completed the work by following the display plan and bringing it to life before kick-off.
What remains
The photographs, planning and reusable flag stock form part of the PNE Flags project record and help shape future large-scale displays.
