The Proud Preston skyline design was one of the first two large surfing-flag projects developed by PNE Flags.

Why it matters

The project connected the identity of the city with the football club and created a visual piece designed to belong in the stand rather than on a screen.

A reusable display

Like the Sir Tom Finney surfer, the artwork depends on supporters to carry it safely and on volunteers to collect, dry, fold and store it after use.
