A centenary tribute
The giant Sir Tom Finney surfer was created for the Preston legend’s centenary in 2022 and designed to move over the Deepdale crowd.
Supporter backing
The verified February 2022 campaign raised £5,960 from 244 donations. That backing launched the modern wave of large PNE Flags surfing displays.
Made to live in the stand
The finished artwork only becomes complete when supporters carry it overhead together. Careful deployment, collection, drying and storage allow the tribute to be used responsibly again.
